Leeds Festival 2009 – Yeah Yeah Yeahs – main Stage, Saturday
Yeah Yeah Yeahs played a high intensity set on the main stage, with frontwoman Karen O’s choice of clothes just as outstanding as the music.
Dressed in a blue and purple baggy dress which also had a hood, the icon danced around stage to the frantic drumming of the cheerful looking Brian Chase and the distorted guitar playing of the sunglasses-clad Nick Zinner.
The New York rockers said little throughout the set, but exploded into life during their songs, most of which were from their latest album ‘Its Blitz’, including opener ‘Shame and Fortune’.
Highlights from the set included ‘Zero’, and set closer ‘Date With The Night’, which saw the crowd bouncing along in with excitable exuberance.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs played the following songs:
'Shame & Fortune'
'Black Tongue'
'Heads Will Roll'
'Rich'
'Gold Lion'
'Cheated Hearts'
'Skeletons'
'Hysteric'
'Honey Bear'
'Zero'
'Maps'
'Date With The Night'
