Born in Cheetham-Hill, inner city area of Manchester, XS.iF as been involved in the world of music one way or another for over 10 years, he is a DJ, Artist, Producer and Promoter.
Brought up on releases ranging from artists such as the Everly Brothers, to The Commodores to Bob Marley, this diversity ensured his fascination in different musical genres continued, and shaped his musical taste. Initially guest appearing on a local hip hop groups track, he fully began his own musical career in the City of Nottingham and through his dedication and sheer hard work on the local scene he gradually earned the respect of the musical community of the city. This led to gigs on the Nottingham Trent University Radio Station 107.6 Fly FM, becoming one of the University of Nottingham's Official Student DJs, and performing at the University of Nottingham's Graduation Ball at the Nottingham Ice Arena and alongside the likes of the Avalanche, Rahzel, Jazzy Jeff and Cash Money.
His skills have taken him as far a field as to the Far East, to places such as Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Kuching (Borneo), Bangkok (Thailand) and Tokyo (Japan).
XS.iF has recently released his debut album ‘The Hip Hop Disciple’ - he spend over 14 months and involved more than 20 creative individuals to pull the album together. The debut album was completed in 2008 and released late-2008 through his own label WithMe Music. The album features a number of up and coming UK-based artists and producers and is now out on sale here in the UK as well as in countries such as Australia, Germany and the US. XS.iF continues to promote the album and perform at venues and festivals across the country.
The Hip Hop Disciple album received a number rave reviews since its release from the likes of the BBC, Sandman Magazine, Leftlion Magazine, UKHH.com, The Beat Surrender (Record Box), Mr CRF for Critical Beatdown, played on 1Xtra, Unity Radio, Manchester Radio Online, Hip Hop Basement Radio, etc
