Metis' arrival on the hip-hop scene is as exciting and unconventional as the path that brought him here. Raised in California's Bay area, his journey has taken him from street playgrounds, to scholarships at the highest levels of Division 1 basketball, through an Ivy League education at world-renowned Brown University where he studied Economics and Philosophy, and later through to Wall Street to where we find him today; a rising Hip-Hop star whose sound is as unique as his story.
Whilst working as a trader in the world's premier investment bank, he secretly birthed a career in Hip-Hop under the alias Metis, rising to prominence in two of the world's most challenging industries simultaneously, unbeknownst to colleagues and fellow artists. Every day on the Trading floor, in suit and tie, with two computers and six screens, he navigated the financial markets in one hand, while keeping a pen and pad of lyrics hidden under research reports in the other. Eventually, small poetry cafes gave way to international stages and studios, as Metis perfected his transformation from business suits and leather shoes to his patented flat caps and braces in the back of London taxis
