Inspired by classic bands such as The Jimi Hendrix Experience, AC/DC, The Who, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, Wolfmother unlike their influences hail from the land of Oz. After a successful self released EP, the band went to LA to record their debut album with D. Sardy (Oasis, Dandy Warhols) which appeared on the shelves in 2005. The album, entitled 'Wolfwother' saw the band receive numerous accolades in their homeland including the 2006 ARIA award for best group. One of the songs from their debut album, 'Love Train' has been used to sell the Apple iPod. The soundtrack to an iPod advert, 'Love Train' is now being used to promote the current generation of video iPods.
