NEWS: AA single WELCOME TO MY WORLD/ FEELING LONELY NOW recorded with US producer John Goodmanson in Seattle is out now on all major download services!

Single reviews April 2010:
"Cut`n`paste rock`n`roll, cackling like a freak and spurting flames out of its ass" **** ARTROCKER MAGAZINE

"WRLGD capture a grunge feel that just goes for the jugular. Welcome To My World is an angst ridden, sinister guitar, full on kick ass rock track. Feeling Lonely Now starts off with dreamy vocals before letting rip with more rock goodness" ROOM THIRTEEN 12/13

"Welcome To My World is a scuzzy, gutsy and dirty riff-laden riot of a rock track. Stop/starts are punctuated by thumping kick-drum beats and sharp shards of distorted guitar with vocals that are just as pointed, yet subtly seductive at the same time" 8.5/10 LOUD HORIZON

"We Rock Like Girls Don`t will definitely surprise anyone who settles down to listen to this double A single expecting your standard female-fronted rock music" THE MUSIC FIX

"Welcome To My World outguns Verucca Salt and those invoking Sleater-Kinney just can`t have heard this record because Feeling Lonely Now transcends all that gender rubbish by simply being a top rock track, that`s more than enough" UNPEELED

"Uncut, ravishing rock..WRLGD blur the boundaries between haughty, almost masculine rock and femme provocation" 4/5 GLASSWERK

BIO: We Rock Like Girls Don`t formed when Glasgwegian Ros moved to London, advertised for a rock`n`roll freak in Loot and met her match in London/ Greek drummer Vas. Initially a trio with bassist Jen, they infiltrated daytime Radio 1 as finalists in Onemusic Unsigned and rocked the X Tent at Scotland`s T In The Park Festival. The band released two raucous limited edition 7" vinyl singles on their own label Distort -ROCK`N`ROLL FREAK/ HIP TO YOU and I JUST WANNA STICK MY HEAD IN THE BASS DRUM/ OUT OF CONTROL.

"Punishing drums, mastodon riffs, immeasurably terrific" NME
"The best new female rock band on the planet" KERRANG

Jen then left to rejoin her brother`s band and Ros and Vas decided they didn`t need a bassist after all. The duo recorded a self- financed album with Breeders producer Mark Freegard and in October 2008 unleashed ear- splitting new single VIOLENCE.

"Best single so far" ARTROCKER
"Bold, brash and utterly unforgiving" SUBBACULTCHA
"Violence has the energy and heart of a band that enjoy making music" THE MUSIC MAGAZINE
"Ladies and Gentlemen, THIS is girl power!" THE MAG

Since then the pair have played headline shows as a guitar/ drums duo all over the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy. Debut album HOW DID IT GET TO THIS was released in April 2009 to underground critical acclaim. We Rock Like Girls Don`t signed to Domino Publishing Company in August 2009 after Ruth Rothwell saw the band play the Discovery Talent showcase at The Tabernacle in London.

"They`ve made the album they always threatened" ALBUM OF THE WEEK, ORGAN
"If PJ Harvey and Josh Homme had got together about a decade earlier and decided to indulge their mutual garage- punk influences this is what it may well have sounded like" ROOM THIRTEEN

"Loud, bad- assed and swaggering, WRLGD have carved themselves a secure niche in back-to-basics lo-fi rock" TOURDATES
