An intrinsic love of sweet melodies, layered harmonies, dark grooves and sugary tea is at the heart of just about everything We Are Trees do. With an average age of 23 and having been going "full time" for the best part of a year, the five piece band from South Wales have played many a gig, made many a friend and made even more fans along the way. From playing initial shows to crowds as small as three bar staff, a sound engineer and four friends who got in on the guest list, gradually, We Are Trees gigs and audiences have become bigger - sell out headline shows at Cardiff Barfly, support slots with The Mystery Jets, The Subways and Tom Vek as well as a Saturday evening show in the bright lights of the Camden Barfly highlight just how the profile of the band has risen steadily. Hopefully, the profile and audiences of We Are Trees will continue to grow over the coming months - a Double A-Side single and mini album are currently being recorded and are due to be released, by the band themselves, early in 2006, followed by a small national tour.
