Two years ago the future looked pretty bleak for Two Beats Apart, with no singer and no drummer, all they had by their side was a small catalogue of extremely catchy and well put together songs. This wasnt going to stop them though, in the summer of 2007 Jon, Steve and Sam took the songs they had been working on for the best part of two years and organised a small local tour - this tour signified the beginning for Two Beats Apart.
With Sam taking over on vocals, the band invited Ruth, an old workmate of Steves along to play some shows with them. This turned out to be the break through that the band had been waiting for.
One year later with Ruth now firmly on board as lead vocalist, the band set about fine tuning their songs which had garnered such a positive response and also built up a hefty following on myspace catapulting the band to number three in the top 100 acoustic artists category. This led them to the headline slot at 2008s Fieldfest Festival and sent their first demo Touching Skin to number thirty three in the top 40 unsigned chart.
With their debut, self-titled E.P. expected in mid 2009 the band are slowly building up their following one person at a time, If I have to go out there and talk to every single person after a show, then thats exactly what Im going to do - Steve. The Two Beats Apart train has most defiantly left the station and from the looks of it shows no signs of slowing down.
