Formed in 1998 in California, Thrice specialise in melodic post-hardcore rock. They have released six studio albums so far, with their most successful effort being their most recent - 2008's 'The Alchemy Index Vols. III & IV'. That album was part of a two part set, with 'The Alchemy Index Vols. I & II' being released the year before. Previously signed to Island Records, Thrice now release on Vagrant Records after they cited a difference in opinion over the band's future direction for the move.
