Another significant one for us as we will be supporting The Pan I Am: fronted by Ed Larkin, formally of Larrikin Love – a band that was signed to Warner Brothers and who’s line up included violinist Rob Skipper of The Holloways. Larrikin Love split in May 07 at which point Ed formed The Pan I Am, a band whose music is rooted in Irish folk and bluegrass, with an up to date electro twist.

And if that’s not enough, The Vanity Clause will be introducing some new songs from their forthcoming album, due to be released later this summer.

Hope to see you all there

As a sneak peek at our debut album we've put together a little montage track of a few of the songs. All but one of these tracks has featured in our set up until now so these are so hot off the fire even vocals haven't even been laid down yet. I hope you like the sound of whats to come. Have a listen and let us know what you think so far!
Also get your free track to download here at http://www.tourdates.co.uk/
and help us get to number 1 in the Download chart. Were at number 14 so far so a few more steps and we're there!!
Cheers

The Vanity Clause
"Frenzied analogue synth action and big emotive beats."
Having played in various guitar bands over the years, we were struggling to find the over-saturated local rock scene inspiring. Whilst sharing a flat together mid 2006 we discovered a solution to our musical frustrations: Band together and turn to our mutual love of early 80's electronica! Using the oldest analogue equipment we could lay our hands on we began writing our first material.

Overcoming an initial lack of keyboarding prowess we have strived to create a sound fusing classic 80's alt-pop with a twisted, experimental edge, contrasting strong melodies and hooks with frenzied beats and furious Moog action! Regularly gigging since 2007, we keep our live set up as 'hands on' and energetic as humanly possible, eschewing laptops, jumping between synths and performing like we mean it!

We have played venues such as the Notting Hill Arts Club (Back to Nature), the Hope and Anchor (Islington), The Purple Turtle (Camden) and many others. We are also currently arranging several European dates for 2009 to coincide with the release of our debut album.

Russell Harris - Synths, programming, recording, pressing buttons and untangling wires and rebooting.
David Woods - Vocals and synth action and Keytaur voguing.
Louisa Strachan - Vocals, soul and synth crazyness.
