The Rascals lead vocalist Miles Kane is probably best known as one half of Arctic Monkey Alex Turner's side project, The Last Shadow Puppets. But his own band, The Rascals, are making their own waves and causing a stir in the world of indie. The three-piece, all former members of the now defunct Little Flames, formed in 2007, and play melodic rock, influenced by psychedelic indie. Their debut album, "Rascalize" was released in June 2008, and followed singles "Suspicious Wit" and "Freakbeat Phantom". They are due to play 2008's Reading and Leeds festivals.
