Famed for their 2002 dance floor hit House Of Jealous Lovers. The rapture, who formed in 1998 by drummer Vito Roccoforte and guitarist/ vocalist Luke Jenner pioneered the disco-punk sound and have led the way in the indie-dance revolution. Their first album appeared on the shelves in 2003 and saw the band tour with the likes of Funeral for a Friend, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers. In 2006, The Rapture announced the completion of the follow-up album, Pieces of the People We Love, released on Universal Motown Records. Produced by Paul Epworth, Ewan Pearson and Danger Mouse the new album displays a more polished and markedly less angular sound to their previous work, and received a mixed critical reception.
