Review – The Metros, Leeds Festival, NME Stage, Friday 22nd August 08

The Metros kicked off the Leeds' Festival NME Stage at midday on Friday with a typically abrasive set.
Although the crowd started of being fairly small, it grew throughout the set. Constantly dancing, the five-piece displayed maximum energy throughout, with singer Saul Adamczewski, giving a typically lively performance.
The south Londoners showcased songs from their forthcoming album 'More Money Less Grief', including 'Live a Little', 'Creps For Christmas' and recent single 'Talk About It'.
Adamczewski bizarrely wore plastic bags on his feet, and asked the crowd 'do you like my shoes? They're not shoes actually they're bags'.
The biggest cheer of the set was reserved for 'Last Of The Lookers', which had the wild but modest crowd dancing along enthusiastically.
