The Little Philistines
"Pop art tarts for those with heart"
The Little Philistines are a melodic pop group based in London, where they create catchy pop songs with decent lyrics and tones of underlying menace. Rob and John sing lead vocals with backing harmonies from Emily and Adam, while Matt bangs the drums. The group's sound is bolstered by violin and trumpet.
Formed in the sweaty crucible of 2006, The LP's have since gigged across London, been played on BBC 6 Music and BBC Kent Radio, appeared in Artrocker's Top (16) tracks of 2008, and opened Sellindge Festival 2009 for Supergrass. You can contact them here or at thelittlephilistines@gmail.com

- Great skewed indie rock with a mod influence that fits somewhere between early XTC and maybe the Futureheads - IndiePages Demo of the Week
