the latter day saints
"Intense bitter sweet melody, backed by dirty heart pounding rock riffs. Foo fighters / manics / muse"
The Latter Day Saints are currently working with A-list producer Pedro Ferreira. Best known as the producer of The Darkness' debut album 'Permission to Land' which achieved multi-platinum status with sales of 4 million copies. And the highly acclaimed Therapy album 'One Cure Fits All'. Having spent over 13 years as Strongrooms resident producer/engineer working with bands and producers across all musical genres, Pedro repeatedly mentions in interviews that The Latter Days Saints are amongst the best musicians/songwriters he has ever worked with, and here's a man that knows what he's talking about! Having spent much of last year recording, The Latter Day Saints - Tom Scully lead vocals/lead guitar, Darren Wood backing vocals/bass guitar and Stuart Walker drums, are now increasing their workload presenting their powerful live show as they prepare for the release of 'Coming on Dirty', due for a single release later this year!

best industry quotes

  1. Rock Sound Magazine - The Latter Day Saints are the highlight of the month. With a heightened sense of drama, their songs build to epic crescendos before crashing back down to earth. There are occasional shades of Thom Yorke in Tom Scully's bruised, affected vocals, and clever use of samples adds a further intriguing dimension
  2. Metal Hammer Magazine - The 'Saints hit the stage and belt out some uncontrived straight down the line hard rock, as if piped in from Seattle indie radio 15 years ago, LDS sound like a ballsy interpretation of US alt metal and grunge of the early 90's. While at times the rock sounds radio friendly – á la Stereophonica – there's a healthy amount of weight behind the melodies. Interestingly amongst the bobbing heads and pumping fists are a bristling music industry, sniffing round what could promise to be an interesting prospect for British rock!
