After meeting in 2000, Alison Mosshart (vocals) and Jamie Hince (guitar) formed The Kills, a heavy electric rock band, based in London. They released their first EP, entitled "The Black Rooster EP" in 2002 through Domino Records, which featured heavy garage rock influences, a far-cry from the previous sounds of both members former bands. Their debut album "Keep Your Mean Side" was released in 2003 and received comparisons with fellow boy/girl duo The White Stripes. Second studio album "Now Wow" came out in 2005 and reached number 56 in the UK charts, with single "The Good Ones" reaching number 23, the band's highest single to date. Latest album "Midnight Boom" was released in March 2008 to generally high critical acclaim. The played the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury in 2008.
