Frontman Roni, guitarist Joel & drummer Aaron originally met in the music room of their North London High School in 1996. Although Roni was originally a member of a different school band to that of Joel & Aaron, their time spent in school did see them jam & perform together on many occasions including school concerts and during lunch breaks. It was not until 2004 when Joel and Aaron went to study in Leeds & met with Dan did the idea of forming a permanent band take shape. With Dan playing bass and another friend taking on singing duties, the band played various student nights all over Leeds and began writing some of the songs which we hear today.
After Joel, Aaron and Dan returned from Leeds, the band was left without a singer. It was not until late 2008 that Joel made contact with & invited Roni down to a rehearsal. The rest, as they say… is history!
Since then, The Heist have hit the ground running and show no signs of stopping! Roni has brought with him a creative streak that extends not just to his impressive singing abilities, but has taken on additional songwriting duties and added another guitar to the set up.
London based quartet The Heist are comprised of singer Roni, guitarist Joel, bassist Dan and drummer Aaron. Today the band are currently testing out new material at gigs across London.
