Even though The Delays’ debut album ‘Faded Seaside Glamour’ was released in 2003, the band has been around for nearly a decade. Greg, Rowley and Colin met in 1996 and formed band Corky. Later on, as Greg’s brother Aaron joined them, the new 4 piece band renamed itself The Delays.‘Faded Seaside Glamour’ was unanimously acclaimed and singles ‘Hey Girl’ and ‘Long Time Coming’ both hit the Top 40 in July 2003 and January 2004.The band was signed by Rough Trade Records and their second album ‘You See Colours” was released last March. ‘Valentine’ was the first single to be extracted from ‘You See Colours’ and it was awarded Track of the Week by NME. ‘You See Colour’ is a beautifully succinct cut of propulsive pop, man-eating bass lines and skycraping harmonies.
