BIOG January 2008. The Big River Bandits are a 5-piece Americana band from London/South East England. Their unique sound is a blend of new and old style country music incorporating Southern and country rock, swing, and traditional country music.They have a wide repertoire of original songs and great covers from artistes such as Bonnie Raitt, Martina McBride, Gretchen Wilson, Alan Jackson, Patsy Cline and Gary Allen. Their debut album, The Single Life, released by Eden Records on 22nd October 2007, has been receiving outstanding reviews and is being played on radio stations and internet radio all over the world.The 12 songs, all very different from each other were written by lead singers Renee Sears and Gerry Power, reflecting their talent and ability as writers as well as performers. Together with John Joce on bass, Paul Edge on drums, Ken Smith on pedal steel and harmonica, and Gerry also playing lead guitar, they five an exciting and exuberant performance.
