Awesome, going to add you to my list of bands I must see!
Synergy
"Progressive rock made modern & infused with melody.."
A Bit About The Band... Meeting by sheer chance in the aftermath of a natural disaster of astronomical proportions (namely the spectacular implosion of their former bands...); Jamie (guitars/vocals); Rupert (drums/percussion); Chris (guitars/vocals) and Jake (Bass/Vocals) slowly came together from August 2007 onwards to form SYNERGY - bonded by a shared love of rock 'n' roll and a common hobby in cultivating spectacular facial hair.
The herculean effort put into the bands strict practice schedule (and endless arguments about whose turn it was to put the kettle on) resulted in a series of gigs across the West Midlands in 2008, taking in such legendary haunts as the Yorkshire House, Shrewsbury (which the band have a particular habit of packing out) all the way up to the Birmingham Barfly, stopping off to play at what seemed like every backroom, phone box and, err, carvery en-route, building up a loyal (and completely raving mad) fanbase.
SYNERGY entered the studio in July 2008 to dedicate three of their greatest hits to record for the first time with Transmission Music's multitalented producer/mixer/masterer/multi-instrumentalist Ben Millington. Making the grade for the bands first EP were three road-tried and tested fan favourites - "Hit the Comedown" possessing a clutch of nagging riffs and more hooks than the band has coats. "Through My Eyes" is introduced by one of the most authentic riffs from the banks of the Mississipi ever to come from... Shropshire. "Synchronised Energy" is the (condensed) soundtrack to the best shag you've ever had... a (mostly) instrumental mixing pot of influences and the opening number at every gig.
They spent the end of 2008 gigging hard around the Midlands and working on writing new material for new year to come. By the end of January 2009 they had a whole army of new songs ready for their fans and hit the road hard! They have already played their first gig in London at the infamous Bullet Bar in Camden with several more shows lined up for their London fans. February and March have seen them play Shrewsbury, Telford, Birmingham and London and April and May are set to be even more exciting! They are booked to play live on BBC Radio Shropshire for the Friday Night Gerbil on 3rd April so tune in for that, then down to London (Fighting Cocks, Kensington) on 18th and back to Shrewsbury to play Live @ The Hive at Shrewsbury's renound Belmont Arts Centre! It's back to London in May to rock the Bridge House 2 before heading off to the Czech Republic at the end of May to play a 3-date tour - the band can't wait to meet their Czech fans!
What's next for SYNERGY? BIG THINGS - WATCH THIS SPACE & SHOW YOUR SUPPORT BY LISTENING TO OUR MUSIC, DOWNLOADING OUR RELEASES & COMING TO GIGS! WE LOVE MEETING OUR FANS - YOU ROCK!

best industry quotes

  1. The next band was Shrewsbury based four-piece Synergy. Their sound is powerful, atmospheric Progressive-Rock (with just a touch of Funk) – it's a meticulous constructed and expertly arranged sound that, while very much on the drawn-out side of Rock, never falls into the common pitfalls of being overly indulgent or failing to hold peoples interest through lack of ideas or energy. It's this abundance of ideas and the emotional clout that Jamie gives their sound in his vocal delivery which powers their music, and their impressive collective musical ability ensured they held their own on an evening with some seriously stiff competition - Stephen Hudyba
