Surface Unsigned
"The Surface Unsigned Festival is the only national live music event that brings unsigned bands and artists to the attention of all aspects of the music industry. Surface Unsigned is a festival of new music held throughout the country in aid of discovering and promoting new talent. The Festival is the largest event of its kind and has become a major event in the unsigned music calendar."
In 2009 events will be held in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and London making it the largest event of its kind.

Surface Unsigned has teamed up with some of the largest names in the industry to develop alternative ways for bands to gain exposure, develop their fan base and attain success. We are working in association with Marshall, Kerrang, Zildjian, Tama, Evans, Planet Waves, Ashdown, D’addario, PMT, Univibe Audio, Music Live and Oxjam.

In 2009 Surface Unsigned and our sponsors are on hand to provide industry showcases, recording and production deals, professional photo shoots, £30K in cash and endorsements and much more. The band of the festival will receive £5,000 cash.

SURFACE UNSIGNED MAGAZINE

Its FREE!!

The Surface Unsigned Magazine informs unsigned musicians about the constantly changing and ever-developing music industry. This FREE publication is available in all rehearsal and recording complexes throughout the UK.

In today’s complex, fickle and ever-changing music industry the larger record companies are losing their grip. Bands are finding alternative ways of attaining success independently, rejecting the more traditional roots to notoriety and fame. For this reason alone more and more power is back in the hands of the bands themselves.

The Surface Unsigned Magazine is working in association with unsigned music promoters, top industry sponsors and major music names to deliver content geared towards the unsigned market. The magazine features industry related tips, columns and interviews. It also contains unsigned live music reviews including full coverage of the Surface Unsigned Festival 2008 and looks forward to the Festival of 2009.
