5 boys and one gal with rock'n'moonshine in their dungarees exploded on to the scene at opening night of O'Ryans Bar, Spring Park, in October 08, supporting a Sarah Palin wet t-shirt look alike contest and the awards ceremony for the Bear Shoot. The band drink whiskey, sing about hookers, shoot guns and eat steak for breakfast. One of them writes poetry in raccoon's blood and it's rumoured that that they may all be cousins, and that the circus ran away from them. Spring Park was never the same after these boys and girl drove into town in their 1997 Dodge Ram.
The Band is the creation of Dan Atrill (Duke Fender -ex Melancholiacs) on vocals and guitars and Mike Hughes (Otis Rickenbacker - ex Goldwing) on bass, acoustic guitar and vocals with Darren Churchill (Dwayne Gary- ex Goldwing) on keyboards and Les Churchill (lester Gary - yes, they're cousins) on drums. There's also Stu Mitchell (Doc Fender Jr) on guitar and Tally (TJ) on vocals completing the line up.
You'll know them from many nights in the Golden Lion, Rosie O'Grady's and the Apple Tree and you'll you'll love them even more for these tunes that you're gonna hear across London this year.
Watch out too for the upcoming Couins In Arms CD and the book, Spring Park Chronicles.
