Welcome back to Sienna-land. I apologise for not posting anything for a while but there has been a lot of uncertainties around a lot of thing I didn't want anything going out yet. But, right now I can tell you everything thats happened and going to happen.
First things first, and most importantly we have a new member in the band. A month and a half a go we departed with Adison. For whatever reason, difference or complication he is not in the band. We have a new Singer/ Guitarist. He is known as Ian, his last name is Snape. I would like to put it to you guys to come up with the best 'Snape' nickname. To start this, work from 'Snapes on a Plane'. If you come up with anything better please please comment this blog with it. On a serious note Ian coming into the band has made us what we should be, a band. We are now 5 people working together and getting along better than ever. From the practice room, to the studio, to the stage, to the pub, Sienna are now a band with nothing and no one holding us back.
We have some new pictures to show off of the new look Sienna with Ian check them out in the promo album of our picture!
We also have a new song up. Its the first song we have written with Ian and it debuted on the unsigned show on BBC Radio WM last Thursday. Check it out, there will be more to come like that in the coming months.
Last night (06/06/09) we played a sold out show at the Bar Academy in Birmingham with Saving Aimee, The Mission District and Twenty Twenty. The place was full from the minute we went on stage and was until the end of our set. We would like to thank everybody who saw us and everybody who came to talk to us after the show, it was wicked seeing you all and the love you showed us was beyond belief. Saving Aimee, The Mission District and Twenty Twenty were all awesome guys to and they completed a classy night. (Thanks to Twenty Twenty specially for sharing bits of gear).
Over the next coming weeks we will continue to write new songs and get demos up as soon as we can for you guys. We're also recording next weekend for a compilation CD that will be available at this years Rock The Castle Festival on the 3rd July!
We also have shows at The Barton Arms and Base Studios in June so it would be wicked to see you guys there, come say hi!
On a more personal note, from the whole band thank you all for keeping in touch and showing your love over the last few months. Its been hard having to cancel shows so that we could practice as much as possible with Ian but now we are back on track, writing better than before and mostly we are happier than ever.
Josh,
SIENNA X
