'Sid Sings are a deliciously dark and dirty Blunk-explosion for the True Blood generation. Forget gothic romance - these rock 'n' rollers are true sex Glampires!'
The band is headed-up by sassy frontwoman, Sid and powered by Alex Michie's turbo-charged guitar-playing and Marco Quarantotto's down and dirty drumming. A combination which has lead critics to describe them as 'Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs backed by the early ZZ Top', and 'Patti Smith fronting The White Stripes.'
Their uber-charismatic live show simply blows audiences away. They opened at The HMV Forum in London for Mod legends Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler from The Jam and have also supported the likes of Nine Below Zero, Hugo Race and The fatalists and Yat-Kha. They have headlined many prestigious London venues including The Blues Kitchen, The Barfly, The Borderline, 93 Feet East and The Garage. They have also enthralled audiences at festivals in the UK and Europe including Guilfest, Gold Coast Ocean Festival, Nozstock, Avant Garde Blues Festival in Italy, and Cognac Blues Passions Festival in France, where they were named band of the day and were hailed by the press as stars of the nu-blues.
After the band appeared on The Balling The Jack Show on Resonance FM Sid was offered her own show which is called House Rent Boogie and airs every Tuesday at 3pm.
Their first album, Notes From The Underground was released last year to critical acclaim. They are currently working on a follow-up which promises to burn with the classic intensity which has become their trademark.
As the song says, Sid Sings are gonna shake it tonight...
