Ralfe Band are a three-piece that specialise in alternative rock with a tinge of folk. They also involve electronic and gothic influences in their music. They released their first singles 'Albatross Waltz' and 'Fifteen Hundred Years' 2005 and followed it up with their debut album, 'Swords', in November of that year. 'Attic Thieves', their second album, is due out on 13 October 2008 on Loose Records and will include the single 'Women of Japan'. The band have caught the attention of The Mighty Boosh's Julian Barratt who said of the band: "Ralfe Band are a brilliant new band who play psychopathic folk-waltz music... epic and peculiar and catchy as hell". Oly Ralfe from the band even featured in an episode of The Boosh, playing 'The Umpire of Folk' in the episode 'Sammy The Crab' in the third series. The band played a European Headline tour in January and also played at the 2008 Glastonbury Festival.
