Panic Point are a highly prolific genre hopping musical duo based in London. A collaboration between acoustic singer songwriter Isaac Howlett and digital composer Adam Relf, their atmospheric, predominantly electronic music focuses on the harmonious marriage of big beats, crunchy guitars and filthy synths. Taking the best elements of their favourite guitar bands, the darker edge of 80s electro and the raw energy of the UK’s underground dance scene, Panic Point are set to storm bedrooms and clubs the world over.
Since forming the band in January 2009, the pair (who met as children in a ‘hippy commune’ and have been friends or bitter foes ever since) have already recorded and produced a considerable catalogue of original material and are currently preparing to enter the live arena and take their music to the masses. Isaac Howlett’s androgynous vocals, at times recalling the likes of Brett Anderson or Matt Bellamy, coupled with Adam Relf’s sonic wizardry and their shared love of all things anthemic make them a musical force to be reckoned with.
Previously, Isaac has been the driving force behind a number of musical outings dating back to his early teens, while Adam cut his teeth in underground Breaks duo The Magnet Men, with whom he is still writing and recording now. They began working together when Adam, frustrated by the constraints of the still relatively small UK Breaks scene, offered to produce some tracks for Isaac. This side project soon grew into a fully-fledged band and Panic Point was born.
