tried to become a fan, don't know if it worked, but hey, AM a fan!
OFFICER KICKS
"hook laden ROCK'n'ROLL band"
OFFICER KICKS are on a (rock &) roll courtesy of their catchy classics, DIY cottage industry and the seeds of a lively following. In 2007 they gigged with Lethal Bizzle, Jack Penate, The View and Nine Black Alps. November's DIY single, Dog Day Rush, earned them Xfm Scotland Single Of The Week/session and Playlist.

In 2008 The Hoosiers caught them live and took them on tour (with The Script) in Spring. Their rock won over pop fans and made new friends. The live reputation also earned slots at major UK festivals.

Debut album, The Six Grand Plot, picked up national local radio airplay/press and their debut Glastonbury appearance was a barrier abusing triumph. It was a acclaimed a britrock classic with comparisons to led zeppelin, kings of leon, brmc etc.

They stormed Secret Garden Party (the proof of which has emerged as a live film and earned them main stage supporting Jarvis Cocker in 2009). Officer Kicks made it a hat trick of great festival appearances on the BBC Introducing stage of Bestival in September.

2008 ended a with major support slot UK tour which saw them selling out of merchandise and picking up amazing reactions. Then went into the legendary Dean Street studios in Soho to create Citywide Curfew.

They completed it at the start of 2009 and started picking up more acclaim.

"Super spiky rock'n'rioll with plenty of attitude... their name should be a lot more familiar by the end of the year" (Officer Kicks top the Sunday Express tips, March 2009).

The prediction came true and by the end of 2009 they had released their most successful single to date (The Kraken, a taster of Citywide Curfew), played major UK and European Festivals, triumphed on their first Irish tour with The Script, received their first TV plays, played instores and rounded it all off as special guests on all the Juliette Lewis UK tour dates.

They are already working on exciting new material, have picked up interest from major territories around the world and are set to release and tour in Spring next year.

They are their record label, We Make Things, celebrate with a headline show then after party at Camden Monarch on 26th November.

Good time rock'n'rollers are invited to the party.
