Definitely one of the best cuts from Nas's recent 'God's Son' album, 'Made You Look' is the sound of the streets, NYC 2003 style - an impressive, hard hitting Hip Hop throwback.
With no discernable chorus or hook 'Made You Look' brings to mind the best of The Roots, or even the Legends that are Tribe Called Quest - it's flowing, Jazzy and offbeat with a layered 80's sampling style.
Nas's Rap commentary is also highly reminiscent of the often-direct approach taken by Q-Tip.
Highly Recommended.
