It shifted over 14m copies and made him a household name while simultaneously being voted the worst album of the year by a number of music publications, but James Blunt has moved on this year, with news of the follow up to his 2005 debut "Back To Bedlam".
"All THe Lost Souls" is due out in September, Sound Generator can report, and will be led by the single "1973".
Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Tom Rothrock, the set, which is rereleased September 18, will see Blunt attempting to forge a closer knit bond with his live band on many of the tracks.
"I think on the first album I wrote really on my own or with my stuff in mind. But I wrote very much thinking of myself as a singer/songwriter with a guitar and piano," Blunt told Billboard recently.
"Now I know that I have a chance of working with my band so with that in mind, I can hear things definitely (like) how a band may come in as I'm writing a song. It adds a little diversity."
"All The Last Souls" is released on September 18, while "1973" comes out on July 23.
