Rod Stewart is planning a secret marriage to fiancé Penny Lancaster this summer in Italy, reports have claimed.
An article in The Sun today revealed the former Small Faces star, who has rocketed back to the top of the charts in recent years with his 'American Songbook' releases, plans to marry former model Lancaster on the romantic island of Capri in Italy. However, they're so keen to keep long-lensed paparazzi at bay, they haven't even told close friends and family yet.
A source tells The Sun, "They have found this romantic Italian island retreat and will marry there mid-June. They want it to have a cosy rustic feel rather than anything too glitzy and the spot they have found is perfect."
"They're so desperate to keep the plans secret they have hardly told a soul."
