A year older and 1.5m in record sales later, James Morrison is set to reprise his slot at the Liverpool Summer Pops festival.
Organisers reveal this week that the pop singer/songwriter will head up the line-up, with McFly also joining the line-up for a week of live music in July.
Morrison will headline the event - which relocates to Aintree Racecourse this year - for a show on July 11th. Mcfly, meanwhile, will play the Pops on July 20th, with cult electro-pop act Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark set to play their hometown on July 21.
"I had a fantastic night in Liverpool last time, the audience were
really up for it," says Morrison. "It should be another great night and I can't wait to come back!"
This year's Summer Pops Festival looked to be doomed until recently, with licensing and venue problems plaguing organisers. However, Liverpool based promoter Chas Cole masterminded the rescue package that will see the event move to the brand new 4,500-capacity Aintree Pavilion Arena in 2007.
