Nick Cave will collaborate next year with former members of the Triffids, Cramps and the Dirty Three to form a rock supergroup, Sound Generator can report.
The project - featuring Cave alongside ex-Triffids member Martyn Casey, ex-Cramps drummer Jim Sclavunos and Dirty Three founder member Warren Ellis - will see a new album emerge for 2007, as well as tour dates in the spring.
Describing their sound as 'different to everyone, including themselves', Ellis tells Uncut of how the band dynamic developed. "Having Nick on the guitar changed the whole dynamic", he reveals, describing the band's 'open' musical direction.
On their Myspace page, the band is giving fans the chance to hear new track "No Pussy Blues", and reveal they will make their live debut at the All Tomorrow's Parties in April, held in Minehead, Somerset.
