Snoop Dogg was arrested for the second time in a month on Thursday night, after police uncovered a firearm and marijuana during a routine vehicle check.
Snoop, real name Calvin Broadus, was taken into custody at 3.45pm at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California, after being charged on suspicion of illegal drug and gun possession.
According to a police spokesperson, the rapper was bailed on a $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 12th.
Officers say they searched Snoop's vehicle after stopping it at a loading zone for a vehicle code violation. However, the rap star's attorney said in a statement, "There was no basis for this arrest. We believe that once this is cleared up, all charges will be dismissed."
Last month, Snoop Dogg was arrested by New York security police as he attempted to board a flight from John Wayne international Airport with a 21-inch collapsible baton in his carry-on luggage.
