Jet have postponed a large chunk of their current European tour after singer Nic Cester developed acute laryngitis.
Cester completely lost his voice in New York two weeks ago and the Aussie rockers postponed two shows (which have now been re-scheduled), giving the vocalist time to rest his voice before completing the rest of their US run.
However, it seems their live return was short lived, as Cester has now developed nodules on his vocal chords - as a result of returning to the stage before he had completely recovered, his label confirmed over the weekend. Nic will now spend the next two weeks in London undergoing specialist treatment before recommencing their world touring schedule in support of their new album.
"Jet would like to apologise to those fans who have already purchased tickets, and the band has vowed to make up all missed shows," the statement adds.
The following dates have been postponed and will be re-scheduled.
