The animosity between Sir Paul McCartney and his wife, Heather Mills McCartney, looks to have escalated following claims of a disturbance at the family home.
Police were called to the London home of Sir Paul on Monday after reports of an intruder attempting to enter the premises unlawfully. According to reports, the intruder was in fact Mills McCartney's bodyguard, who climbed a wall to gain access after the party - which included the couple's two-year-old daughter Beatrice - found the locks had been changed at the property in St. Johns Wood.
"Police were called at approximately 1750 BST yesterday to an address in [London] NW8 to reports of a suspect on the premises," a Scotland Yard spokeswoman said to press.
"Officers attended and spoke to a female who subsequently left the scene. No offences took place."
The couple confirmed their separation in May this year after four years of marriage, although it was recently reported that Paul McCartney had recently initiated divorce proceedings against the former model, citing 'inconceivable differences'.
