Beck will return in late 2006 with a new album - just 18 months after the release of his last studio album, 2005's "Guero".
The cult alternative star released a remix album, "Guerolito" later in 2005, but the new set, which is again being recorded by Nigel Godrich, will be his first all-new work since March 2005.
A short message on his website this week states the album will be release in autumn this year, although it isn't reported if tracks released online last year, including "Premonition", "Untitled 2" and "Sorrow", will be included.
According to reports, a variety of new songs currently being performed live which may end up on the new album are: "Soldier Jane", "Dance", "Nausea", "Elevator Music", "Remain", and "1000 BPM".
