Guns N' Roses set for UK tour, U.S. dates unconfirmed
After a four-year absence, Axl Rose has confirmed plans to bring Guns N' Roses back to the UK this summer for a series of live dates.
Earlier this month, the band named details of a one-off warm-up show at London's Hammersmith Apollo on June 7 - three days before headlining the Sunday night of this year's Download Festival on June 11. Tickets for the show sold out in less than an hour, but fans hoping to avoid the hugely-inflated ticket tout prices will be pleased to learn of a new series of tour dates for July.
Following their Download appearance, GNR will return to the UK on July 18th for a date at Sheffield's Hallam FM Arena. Dates in Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and London will all follow, before the band head onwards for shows across mainland Europe.
Their UK touring plans look like this:
7 - London Hammersmith Apollo
11 - Download Festival
18 - Sheffield Hallam FM Arena
19 - Newcastle Metro Radio Arena
21 - Glasgow SECC
23 - Manchester MEN Arena
25 - Birmingham NEC
27 - Nottingham Arena
30 - London Wembley Arena
Tickets are set to go on sale on June 2.
Their U.S. tour is widely thought be planned for mid-September. Following the band's recent four-night stand at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, Rose told press, "We've just finished our four shows in NY and had an amazing time. NY has always been special and it feels great to be doing this again particularly in front of so many friends. I am very excited about Europe and getting back over here in September."
