The Dirty Pretty Things star hopes for more Libertines-style glory.Carl Barat has extended and olive branch to former childhood friend and bandmate Pete Doherty, saying he hopes the pair will work together 'some day'.
Barat is currently fronting his new band, Dirty Pretty Things, who are touring the UK to promote their debut album release this summer. Speaking openly this month in interview, the singer/songwriter reveals how he was hit hard during the demise of cult rockers the Libertines, although is hopeful Doherty can still turn his life away from drugs.
"It devastated me," he comments on the Libertines demise. "(Pete) was a shadow of the man. It would have killed me if I didn't have the support around me. The Libertines was my everything and my world fell apart.
"It's just sad and I wish he would sort it out. I would really like to work with him again some day. "I don't deny that but I've not seen him really."
