Their Wembley Stadium debut changed.Bon Jovi have angered fans by superseding a planned concert that was due to be the first ever live music show at the new Wembley stadium.
The New Jersey rockers, who recently were shaken up by an airport incident which saw their jet leave the runway, had previously confirmed that the June 11 show would be the first event of its kind at the stadium, but an extra show a day prior has now been added.
Concert promoters AEG Live said they were sorry to fans who had expected to be the first to witness live music at the £450m venue.
"We took the view, given the band's massive popularity, that it was better to please all their true fans that couldn't get tickets than disappoint a tiny minority who just wanted to be able to say they had been to the first show at Wembley, AEG senior vice president Rob Hallett said to the BBC. "The new stadium is going to be a fabulous arena - but wherever, whenever Bon Jovi play they deliver a fantastic experience."
The new Wembley stadium is due to open Saturday 13 May for the 2006 FA Cup final.
