The alt folk showcase returning mid-August.
Buoyed by their most successful year yet, organisers for the Green Man festival have slated August 18-20 for the 2006 event, Sound Generator can reveal.
Described by a number of press outlets as one of the summer's most delightful small festivals, the three day event - held at Baskerville Hall, Hay-On-Wye, Wales from August 19-21 - saw intimate performances from electronic and acoustic acts including Adem, Michah P. Hinson, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy& Matt Sweeney and Joanna Newsom.
Taking place at a venue to be announced in Powys, Wales, a new license will allow music to continue next year until 1am, giving music fans 13 hours of music each day. Organisers also expect there to be improved film, literature, workshop and children's areas, and DJs playing into the night.
"The magic of Green Man 2005 blew us away," said organisers It's Jo and Danny. "We will never forget the full moon over Bonnie 'Prince' Billy as he sang 'I See A Darkness'. We are already looking forward to next year's festival - there is such a wealth of amazing music out there we can't wait to bring it all together!"
Tickets for the event, at a price tba, will go on sale in early 2006, when the initial headlining acts, ticket price and the venue will be announced.
