The new festival season starts here.

The first headline act for the 2006 UK festival season has been announced, with organisers for next year's Nokia Isle Of Wight festival today revealing their first signed act.

The Prodigy are to headline the main stage on Friday night, June 9, with tickets on sale from today.

Now in its fifth year, the reincarnated festival has seen headline slots from R.E.M, The Who, David Bowie and Travis in recent years.
