The blues rocker to play 18 dates in 2006.Veteran UK Blues rocker Chris Rea has confirmed details of a huge UK and Ireland tour for 2006.
Close to two years after releasing his most recent album, March 2004's "The Blue Jukebox" - which saw the solo artist adopt a jazzier sound - Rea will undertake one of the biggest tours of his career with 18-dates scheduled throughout March and April 2005 in support of a host of new releases.
Next month will see the European release of "Blue Guitars", a brand new series of eleven albums, with launch events taking place in London, Hamburg/Cologne, Milan and Paris. Described a groundbreaking project, the release sees Rea's Jazzee Blue label bring music, paintings and written material together in one form.
The project includes eleven CDs featuring 130 new songs, a DVD and a book showing examples of Chris Rea's art, paintings that have been so important to him since recovering from his life threatening illness at the turn of the new Millennium.
