The band reach their 'B-Sides and Rarities' era.Deftones are to release an album of b-sides and off cuts next month, coupled with a DVD showcasing all the band's videos to date.
"B-Sides and Rarities" is confirmed for release November 7 through Maverick records and will include a host of rare tracks, many compiled from b-sides, acoustic sessions and rare cuts. Some of their biggest hits, including 'Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)', 'Change (In The House Of Flies)' and 'Digital Bath' have been given the acoustic treatment on the new set.
Cover versions of 'Sinatra' (Helmet), 'Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want' (The Smiths), 'If Only Tonight We Could Sleep' (The Cure), 'Simple Man' (Lynyrd Skynrd), 'Savory' (Jawbox), 'The Chauffeur' (Duran Duran), 'Wax and Wane' (Cocteau Twins) and 'No Ordinary Love' (Sade) are also included.
The DVD will include all the band's videos to date, as well as live performances of 'Engine Number 9' and 'Root' and selected behind-the-scenes footage.
Deftones are currently working in Malibu, Connecticut and Sacramento for their upcoming fifth album that is due for release early next year.
