The band overcome jetlag as Carling Weekend: Reading headline slot approaches.Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan was in particularly upbeat mood today, speaking backstage at the Reading Festival.
With his band due to headline the NME/Radio 1 stage tonight, Meighan joined us for a brief chat, and the iconic singer revealed he couldn't wait to play - despite monumental jetlag:
"We just flew in from Japan," he revealed. After witnessing the band at Benicassim, Meighan said both the Spanish event were very different but equally exciting:
"We've been full on. Five days off but still trying to adjust the body clock!"
"But, y'now," he added. "I live for this. There seems to be a lot of long faces round here! If you can't pick yourself up for festivals then what can you do..."
The band headline the NME/Radio 1 stage tonight, around 2200GMT at Reading, before playing the Leeds event tomorrow (August 27).
