Damageplan attacked eight months prior to shooting.Murdered hard rock guitarist 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott had previously had a run-in with his killer, it has been revealed.
The former Pantera band member, who was performing with his new band Damageplan on the night of his death, was shot dead by ex-marine Nathan Gale, who killed three others during the nightclub shooting before being shot and killed himself by a policeman

Authorities have revealed that Gale had caused trouble for the band a year ago in Cincinnati, taking to the stage during an April 8 2004 Damageplan show and causing around $2,000 (£1,000) of damages to stage equipment. Gale was forcibly removed while the band continued playing.
Exactly eight months later, 25-year-old Gale rushed on stage at a Columbus nightclub and opened fire on the band, killing Abbott and three others.
People close to Gale said he became delusional over Pantera, one of his favourite bands, and began to accuse them of stealing songs that he claimed were his.
No charges were filed over the April 8 incident as band members were not in favour of returning to give testimony.
