To describe Modest Mouse's year as hectic would barely scrape the surface.
Firmly ensconced in their first major label deal with Sony Music, 2004's "Good News For People Who Love Bad News" heralded a new dawn for the band in terms of popularity, thus requiring a work ethic that saw the alt-rock four-piece achieve remarkable things.
Speaking to soundgenerator last year, frontman Issac Brock described the band's breakthrough year as 'a good year - no complaints'

Touring throughout most of the year, the band found time to nab nominations for the MTV Video Awards, this year's Grammy Awards and curate the US leg of the All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
Clearly nothing's changed in 2005 as the band have scheduled in a major US tour throughout the early part of the year.
Although not yet finalised, the live dates will see the band hit the road starting Jan. 21 in Nashville and finish March 3 in Denver, Co.
The second leg of the tour will likely take in East Coast venues.
