The London Symphony Orchestra led by Mstislav Rostropovich will perform a selection of Russian music at the Barbican Hall

The London Symphony Orchestra will be welcoming guest conductor Mstislav Rostropovich for two concerts in November at London's Barbican Hall. Rostropovich is a well-known interpreter of music by Russian composers such as Prokofiev and Shostakovich. The concerts will feature both composers as well as music by Glinka.
Soloist for Prokofiev's Violin concerto will be the acclaimed violinist Nikolaj Znaider.
The concert's will be recorded for the LSO' own record label LSO Live which has seen the release of many unique recordings since its inception in 2000. The label has already received Grammy awards and Classical Brits and is now set to release certain recordings on SACD (surround sound) this coming November.
