An unreleased
Jeff Buckley track has been released to a download site which benefits human aid charity Oxfam.
"Forget Her" is lifted from the forthcoming 3-disc deluxe package 'Grace: Legacy Edition', as is available as a digital download exclusively from bignoisemusic.com, which awards a portion of its profits to Oxfam.
"Grace: Legacy Edition" is set for release August 23 and contains 2 CDs and a bonus DVD. Disc one contains the original 'Grace' album newly remastered by George Marino and the second CD includes 13 non-album rarities and collectors items, including 8 previously unreleased studio and live performances.
Disc three, again a DVD, includes 4 videos that were produced in conjunction with 'Grace;' an edited piece based around Ernie Fritz' footage of Jeff Buckley at Bearsville/Woodstock during the recording of the album plus new interviews with the original producers and Jeff band members.
"Grace" is widely considered one of the greatest releases of the 90's, taking in modern rock sounds to jazz and world music arrangements - all with Jeff's untouchable, near-operatic vocals reigning over.
The singer/songwriter died in May 1997 after drowning in the Mississippi River in Memphis, TN. The 30-year-old was in the process of recording the follow up to 1994's "Grace".
