The Zee Cine Awards took place on Thursday evening in front of an enthusiastic audience of over 6,000 in Dubai. The awards celebreate the best of Indian cinema as the 'Bollywood' film Industry becomes a major force around the world.
The Best Soundtrack award went to Himesh Reshammiya (Tere Naam) Himesh is the son of veteran Gujarati musician and music director Vipin Reshammiya. The Best Song of the year was the title song of 'Kal Ho Na Ho'. Amrita Preetam won the award for Best Lyricist for the song 'Charkha Chalati Maa' in 'Pinjar'.
Bollywood's hard working playback singers were also rewarded with Sadhana Sargam getting an award for the film 'Kuch Naa Kaho Kuch Naa Kaho' and Shaan for 'Suno Na' in Jhankar Beats.
