David Bowie 5.1! Ready For Orbit?
Classic Bowie back catalogue set for the 5.1 SACD treatment.
Three Classic albums from David Bowie's back catalogue have been given the 5.1 SACD treatment and are set for release later this month.

The legendary LP's 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars', 'Let's Dance' and 'Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)' are all to be released on October 27th in glorious surround sound.

The SACD contains PCM and DSD stereo remasters as well as a 5.1 surround mix created by the album's original producer Ken Scott at Abbey Road in January of this year. With access to the original multi tracks, and with Bowie's blessing, Ken has mixed the albums to push the audio scope of the SACD format all the way.

Stay tuned to soundgenerator later this month for reviews of all three SACD's.
