The Music and others have been confirmed for an Amnesty International fundraising live show taking place at London’s ICA on October 15th.
The band, currently writing for their follow up album which is released next year, will play the ICA show following their appearance at the MTV2 5th birthday show at London's Brixton Academy on September 30th where they will be performing alongside Jane’s Addiction and The Thrills.
The ICA show is part of the DJ Saved My Life event, a 5-day Amnesty International extravaganza curated by Tony Wilson. The event, also featuring The Thrills and Hundred Reasons, features a host of bands chosen by DJ's including Jo Whiley, Zane Lowe and The Dreem Team. Further names are rumoured to be added to the event. Tony Wilson personally chose the Music, one of his favourite UK bands of the past couple of years.
"There is little in life as revolting as man's inhumanity to man," explains Tony Wilson in explaining Amnesty's objectives. "Amnesty - more than any other organisation in the world - resists that evil and that cruelty. I'm honoured, therefore, to be involved in DJ Saved My Life."
Tickets are on sale now via the ICA box office on 0207 930 3647 priced at £15.
